itscurtains ANGUS VISITATION
[Angus spends a lot of his time after the Opera House in his Kingdom of Fife of the past in an alternate universe, helping with rebuilding villages, aiding the peasants, and taking naps.
He's so tired guys.
But he's always eager to receive visitors. When he's not busy running around the mighty citadel of Dundee, he entertains the guests inside the castle or takes them around the kingdom. Not on the Legendary Enchanted Jetpack of course, but on a flying submarine usually headed by a quiet man who usually keeps to himself, cultivating that mysterious aura.
There's also the Hootsman coming in and out of here, demanding beer and generally showing off his axe-throwing skills and lasers blasts. Did Angus mention that he's also a demigod?]

[The Hootsman chuckles and turns to Angus, arms crossed.]
Training begins tomorrow! To the northernmost island of Unst, Christine will become the greatest warrior in her universe!
[Angus wiggles a hand, unsure.] Try someplace closer to Dundee. We're still showing the others the safer parts of Fife. [...he turns to Christine.] Unless you wish to stay a week without me or the others?

I think it would be best if I stayed close to home. Unless it's really important that I train further out!
[Who knows what's up in the great north? Christine would be intrigued.]

[The Hootsman strokes his braided beard and hums.]
Some of your training can be done wherever we please, but wouldn't you want to use the training arena we have?
[How else will she become a mighty warrior by the time R3 rolls around?]

Christine considers this seriously, but she offers an apologetic bow.]
Perhaps at the end of the week, milord. I need to make arrangements to ensure my family is taken care of in the meantime, you know!

That is enough time. [He pats Christine on the head and turns back to the fire.
Angus runs up to her and gets her standing again.] He wasn't too hard on you, was he?

Oh, no! I'm fine, really! I'm just glad he's okay too, I really got a lucky shot on him.

[A firm nod. Christine is a thinker.]
How about a rest at the fire? You came all this way for a fight and no food? Unbelievable.

[She's grateful for the praise, but it's not exactly sinking in that she somehow defeated a demigod. It has to have been a fluke!]
I guess I could eat something... [Her stomach lets out a growl of agreement, and she giggles sheepishly.]

[As they approach the fire, Christine will be able to smell a mix of meat, herbs and warm potatoes.]
So many good memories of this valley. Training with the soldiers, planning our assault on the Citadel of Dundee, running with the unicorns...it's good to take a break from it all.

This must have been a nice place to catch your bearings after all of that... and a good place to tell tales of your adventures!

[He drops onto a log by the fire and relaxes.]
Or I can share tales of the seas, which should have passed by now or should pass soon at this time. Time travel, you see. [Hmmm.] There should be a battle between pirates of the future and the current warriors of Asgard in a decade's time.

[Angus, honestly! You can't just drop a bombshell like that and pretend everything is fine! Christine has to learn more!]
And you time travelled! Like, besides the time travel we kind of already did when we were at the opera house. Or is that different because it's another world?

I shall take you there sometime, once I get a harness on. The time travel is different. Last time was entirely not of my volition.

[The events leading up to that are not pleasant to recall. A failed mission to protect Earth. A desperate chase.]
When I exited, I found myself one thousand years in the past, but that wicked wizard had conquered Fife before I showed up. [He extends a hand at the land around them.] This was one place not under his control.

I guess we're all lucky you found a way to get the land back from him. And that you had a safe haven while you were doing that.
[She can't imagine what it would have been like to go back home if the SQUIPs had somehow run rampant.]

Angus grabs a slice of bread and picks up half a sausage with it.] As powerful as he may be, Zargothrax cannot overcome the true power of goodness and purity thanks to his evil nature. Without Ralathor and without the Hootsforce, I would not have been able to do anything save for run about and fight monsters. Thank them for showing me the way.
